With a talk by Ms. Denisa Reyes
“IndepenDance Forum 1: an instruction manual in low-res” contains our reflections on Doris Humphrey’s book, “The Art of Making Dances,” a book that is staple reference for compositional theory in dance. Humphrey (1895-1958) was a modern dance pioneer of the 1930’s whose influence we discuss as we try to find the relevance and meaning of our dance practice in contemporary society.
